Description
Description
AMSOIL 20W-50 V-Twin is a fully synthetic, high-performance lubricant engineered for V-twin engines, motorcycle transmissions and primary chaincases. It’s formulated to resist extreme heat, reduce wear and deposits, and maintain viscosity for strong protection in the high-temperature conditions common to air-cooled engines. It contains no friction modifiers for excellent wet-clutch performance and offers the convenience of one lubricant for all three sumps.
Key Benefits
-
Resists extreme heat to help keep engines clean and running efficiently
-
Retains viscosity for excellent wear protection
-
Helps protect transmissions and primaries with a shear-stable formulation
-
Reduces wear and deposits for maximum compression and power
-
Delivers excellent wet-clutch performance (no friction modifiers) to promote smooth shifting and positive clutch engagement
-
Helps resist rust common to short trips and storage
Applications (Specifications / Approvals)
Use in motorcycles that require 20W-50 motorcycle oil and any of the following specifications (including those made by Harley-Davidson and Buell):
-
JASO MA/MA-2
-
API SL, SH, SG, CG-4, CF
-
ISO-L-EMA2
Also suitable for use in motorcycles that require an API CH-4 oil.
Do not use where an API GL-4 or GL-5 gear oil is required.
Change / Drain Interval (Service Life)
-
Use for up to twice the motorcycle manufacturer change interval (miles/hours) or one year, whichever comes first, in engines, transmissions and primary chaincases.
-
For Big Twin Harley-Davidson transmissions only: follow the Harley-Davidson recommended drain interval for synthetic oil of up to 20,000 miles (32,187 km) or one year, whichever comes first.
-
If not using an AMSOIL Motorcycle Oil Filter, change the filter at standard intervals.
-
For off-road use: change at motorcycle-manufacturer-recommended intervals.
-
Racing or modified engines are excluded from extended drain interval recommendations; oil changes are at the owner’s discretion.
Note: Always confirm the required viscosity and specifications in your owner’s manual before use.
